Home Health Franchise Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about the HomeSpark Franchise Program?

We have answers.

We won’t award a franchise to just anyone. We seek franchise owners who understand what it means to work in a senior care environment with 24-hour availability to assist families with home care needs at any time. Some background in healthcare is preferred but not required. All new franchisees are required to obtain appropriate local licensing to run a home care franchise. We are a company that is built on caring for people. If you are a people person with a compassionate heart and an eye for business, HomeSpark may be just right for you.

We want you to feel confident and excited to open your business. Therefore, HomeSpark will provide an initial training program for franchisees in our National Resource Center in College Station, Texas. The minimum duration will be approximately five days of classroom and on-the-job training. HomeSpark will provide a representative for on-site start-up assistance in your local area, as well. Franchisees and key management staff will also attend ongoing training at least twice a year for up to ten days at locations to be determined by the franchisor.

The total initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $86,800 to $179,700 for a single location. This includes a $49,500 initial franchise fee. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.

We do not provide direct financing to franchisees, but we may refer to financing sources on a case by case basis.

We charge a royalty fee equal to 3.5% of gross sales. After the first year of operation, franchisees will pay the greater of 3.5% of gross sales or a minimum flat fee. Franchise owners will be required to spend a minimum of $1000 per month on local marketing. They also contribute 1% of gross revenue to the system marketing fund; collected fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. For a full list of fees and other program details, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with four subsequent successor agreement options of five years each.
